We are a brand-new church in Fort Worth! Whether you’ve never been to church or haven’t been in years, you belong here.
It can be intimidating to try something new, especially a new church, so we promise to make your first visit as comfortable as possible. We have no other agenda other than wanting you to experience love and joy through Jesus.
We believe that the redemptive power of Jesus is available to every person, no matter his or her story. Our mission is to bring the gospel of Jesus to every person in Southwest Fort Worth. We want to be a part of the next revival in the great state of Texas, and we believe that revival can begin in Fort Worth.
Matt has served in pastoral ministry for almost 20 years and loves being the pastor of Redemption City. He completed his M.Div and D.Min at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary right here in Fort Worth.
His wife, Courtney, grew up in nearby Plano, TX, and, as all true Texans do, loves Texas passionately. Their children are 9, 8, and 3, and they love playing chase and basketball on Sundays after church!
Matt and Courtney love Fort Worth, spending time together as a family, having Friday night movie nights, and eating Tex Mex.
Geoffrey grew up in and around music his whole life. His entire family are worship leaders at different churches across the country. He has been in full time ministry for 11 years and still loves showing and telling who Jesus is through creative arts. In addition to working in ministry, he is currently working on his Masters of Arts in Worship Studies at California Baptist University.
Geoffrey and his wife, Leasha, grew up in the Grapevine-Colleyville area, got married in 2009, and now have have 5 wonderful children together. Londyn is 11, Brody is 10, Cole is 8, Hattie Jo is 7, and Parker is 2. They love playing video games, talent shows, and eating lots of desserts!
Courtney has served in kids/student ministry for 7 years. She loves the mission of Redemption City and is eager to see how the Lord uses our church to reach the lost and hurting. She also has a deep love for discipleship and helping people feel confident to open their bibles and to study it themselves.
Courtney spent her early years in small farm towns of Iowa before she moved to Arkansas where, despite her best efforts, became a Razorback. Now you can catch her trying to teach all of the kids how to call the Hogs! She spent the last 7 years in Georgia and has now landed in the great state of Texas!
Courtney loves being surrounded by people who make her laugh, being next to any kind of body of water, and Tex Mex for every meal.
There is one and only one living, true God. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections.
Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Through His death, burial and resurrection, He redeemed man from sin.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He enables men to understand truth.
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction and is without error.
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and if offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
God, in His own time and own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior. It is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s supper.
A symbolic act of obedience whereby baptized believers, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
We are an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. We operate under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes. Redemption City Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
